This month, I was paired with Katie from Passionately Balanced. Since this is the first time I’ve participated in the FPP exchange, I didn’t really know what to expect. Let me tell you, Katie did not disappoint!
The first thing I noticed was the box. A tiny little thing with a “Packed with LOVE” stamp on the top of it. Apparently, there is a company called Conscious Box that does monthly deliveries of earth-friendly products.
Once I opened the box, I was greeted with a huge chocolate bar and a bulb of garlic. How can you go wrong? I mean really – nothing tops either of those items.. except the other. Garlic is my go to savory item, and a good piece of chocolate can cure just about anything.
I’d never had a piece of chocolate with sea salt in it, but my coworkers have brought it up a few times. I’m pretty sure it was love at first bite with that bar. Wow. I will definitely be scoping the aisles in my grocery store for more of these suckers.
We haven’t tried the pasta yet, but I am very excited about it! We aren’t gluten free anymore, but there’s no harm in avoiding wheat on occasion.
In the mornings, I like the salty sweet mix of a good granola or fruit/nut bar. I am really picky about the texture, though. They must be moist and held together without being sticky. They can’t be dry or fall apart. They need to have a nice crunch without being hard or dry. See? Picky, picky. I took the Larabar über to work with me the morning after receiving my box, and it was everything I was hoping it would be. I may have found a new brand.
My son helped me gobble up the fruit leather and chickpeas. I may be hooked on the chickpeas. So, so good.
